Working with a range of partners, we create, fund and deliver projects to help residents access employment, skills and training opportunities, whether you are looking for work, want a better job, change careers or start your own business.

 

As the Community Investment team within Southern 360 we help residents get the most out of life, providing tailored one-to-one advice and support to individuals and investing in services which benefit whole communities.

Our Community Investment team can:

· Help you to access local employment advice, training and education opportunities

· Tell you about projects we are running in your area which may be of interest to you

· Provide funding to help cover the cost of looking for work or gaining qualifications

· Plan for changes to your income/benefits when you get a job

We also offer work placement opportunities within Southern Housing Group, across a range of roles and departments.  Reserved for residents of Southern Housing Group, placements are part time (up to 16 hours a week), and can last a maximum of six months.

If you are looking for real world work experience to put on your CV, these placements offer a great introduction to the world of paid employment, with plenty of support from your Customer Work Placement Officer, and are the ideal opportunity to build your confidence in the workplace.
